Terms & Conditions
Effective October 5, 2026. These terms apply when you request a quote, book a service, buy from our shop or use roaringforkscoop.com. By doing any of those, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Roaring Fork Scoop provides dog waste removal, dog walking and dog waste station service in the Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado, and sells printed goods through our online shop.
2. Our services
- Yard scooping: weekly, every other week or one time reset visits to remove dog waste from your yard and haul it off your property.
- Dog walking: 30 minute neighborhood walks, 60 minute adventure walks and adventure packs.
- Dog waste stations: installation and scheduled service for HOAs, apartments, parks and businesses, under a written quote or service agreement.
- Shop: mugs, tees, prints and other goods printed to order.
Services are offered in Carbondale, Basalt, El Jebel, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Snowmass Village and Redstone, and nearby areas we agree to serve.
3. Quotes, prices and payment
- Prices are listed on our website or given in your quote. Your quote is based on the information you send us, including yard size, number of dogs and how long since the last cleanup. If the yard is very different from what was described, we will tell you before adjusting the price.
- Payment is by card through our secure online checkout, or by invoice for commercial accounts.
- We will tell you before any price change applies to your plan.
4. Scheduling, pausing and cancelling
Yard plans have no contract. You can pause or cancel before your next service day at no charge. Walks and one time resets need 24 hours notice to move or cancel. Full details are in our Cancellation Policy.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give us safe access to the yard on your service day: an unlocked gate or a current code, and a clear path in winter.
- Tell us about any dog that will be in the yard and any history of aggression, fear or escaping.
- Let us know about hazards we cannot see, such as holes, buried wires, invisible fences, irrigation heads or anything else in the grass.
- For walks, make sure your dog is current on the vaccinations required by Colorado law and has a secure collar or harness and leash.
6. Gates and pets
We close and latch every gate we open and send you a photo when we leave. We are not responsible for gates opened afterwards by other people, gates that do not latch properly, or escapes through gaps in fences. We may decline or stop service if a dog in the yard or on a walk behaves in a way that is unsafe for our team or other animals.
7. Weather
We work in most weather. If snow, ice, storms or wildfire smoke make a visit unsafe, we reschedule and let you know. Snow can hide waste; we remove what is reachable and, for weekly clients, return on the thaw.
8. Emergencies during walks
If your dog is injured or becomes ill while in our care, we will try to reach you and your emergency contact first. If we cannot reach you, you authorize us to take your dog to your veterinarian or the nearest emergency clinic. Veterinary costs are your responsibility.
9. Liability
We take care in every yard and on every walk. We are not liable for illness, injury, escape or loss caused by things outside our control, by pre-existing conditions, or by information you did not share with us, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. We are not responsible for damage caused by your pets.
10. Shop orders
Shop items are printed to order by our print partner and shipped directly to you, so they cannot be cancelled once production starts. If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, contact us with a photo and we will work with our print partner to replace it.
11. Photos
We take photos of gates, yards and walks to document our visits. We may use photos of yards and dogs in our marketing without showing your address. If you would rather we did not, tell us in writing and we will not.
12. Privacy
We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its effective date, is the one that applies.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
